Discussion between Sarah Beaulne and Peter-Henry Arnatsiaq

Q: What role do you play in the film?
A: I play Apak.

Q: How do you feel about the filmmaking process?
A: When I was in the movie Atanarjuat, everything was written down and we had to follow the script. It was simpler because everything was written down. This is a bit harder. They’re making history!

Q: You have acted in films before -  have you ever thought of being a cameraman or working with equipment?
A: I never thought of it, but while making Atanarjuat  I realized that I’m Inuk and I learned a lot. I like acting. I’m in the movies because I like it.

Q: Have you even thought of what you’d like to make a movie about?
A: I guess I never thought of it! It would be good to make a movie about how I was raised as a child. I was born and raised in a small village. I have never gone to school. My father and I used to go hunting a lot. I was going out hunting all the time and never went to school. But I wish I had learned English.
