Igloolik has received a tag to harvest a Bowhead whale. Kingulliit Productions would like to film the hunt and create a documentary film around this event. The proposed Bowhead Whale hunt film and involvement will contribute to communities preserving the hunt, and to understanding more about the rich history and culture of hunting. This hunt will have elders participating with their knowledge and expertise, and provide youth with the chance to participate.
