EALÁT is a research project carried out under the International Polar Year and the Arctic Council Sustainable
Development Working Group that has looked at these challenges that reindeer herders are facing and
investigated how herders can best adapt to the realities of this rapidly changing world. This documentary gives an
overview of a project that brought together herders, scientists, students and administrators responsible for
reindeer husbandry in a collaborative and multidisciplinary approach. The documentary features interviews with key
personnel alongside powerful visual insights into the extraordinary and little known world of reindeer herding.
