Yaanii K'uuka

A little girl is naughty and doesn't listen to her mother. "Be nice! Or Yaanii K'uuka will get you!" One day, a beautiful woman arrives at the longhouse... This is a traditional story told in the Haida language (Xaaydaa Kil) with English subtitles.

The movie was made as part of the Haidawood media project in Masset BC. The puppets are made from bionicles with avocado pit heads carved by traditional carvers. The sets are made from cardboard and natural materials. For more information, go to Haidawood.blogspot.com.
