About this video
Part 5 concludes the presentation.
We learn about the Sutikalh Camp set up in 2000 to protect unceded St'at'imc territory, in the southern Interior region of BC, in order to stop government and corporate plans to build a $500 million all-season ski and recreation resort in an untouched Alpine mountain area. This community continues to resist dispossession and has become an important symbol and gathering place for Native 2010 resistance.
We also learn about the how the Olympic infrastructure impacts the urban population, and specifically, urban indigenous women. We are all invited to take part in the actions to denounce the hidden agenda behind the 2010 Olympic Games. Angela invites you to take part in the actions to denounce the Canadian Pacific’s Spirit Train - a propaganda stunt to drum up enthusiasm for 2010 - which travels from Vancouver to Montreal, on 10-city tour.
