Absolutely right...

and onother thing to consider is that while a mine or oil rig will produce for a few years, and create the "wealth" of bigger trucks and nicer TV's, the Hunter/gatherer will sustain as long as there are animals.

Also, these mines, etc, will create the irreversible mess the we see over and over again that will either drastically change, or destroy altogether, the animals we hunt. In turn, these mines and oil fields will contribute to the big mess that is threatening the earth, but give us a big shiny truck to help us forget what a mess we are in.

So, they will say "pull up a chair, and watch us destroy and ruin your ancestors' way of life for a few bucks." what do we do then?
