Abandoned mines in Canada

Interesting video by Memorial University professors John Sandlos and Arn Keeling talking about the abandoned Pine Point zinc mine, on the south shore of the Great Slave Lake, Northwest Territories. The mine was opened from 1964 to 1988. 

This film shows images of the abandoned mine from the summer of 2009, along with reflections from the two professors, who are writing a history of the mine and its impact on local people.
