 it seems to me if the bears are increasing in numbers it is to continue the life cycle, if the bears are endangered by the melting of the ice, it would not surprise me that their numbers would increase, as a population needs to survive it must create more of it's population.. nature takes care of itself, then or we the people destroy it..
