Artcirq Story

Summary and background of the “Artcirq - Arctic Circus” Mission

Thankful for Inuit Elders and Youth

We're finalizing our youth-focused work here in Pangnirtung. Yesterday, we took youth out "on the land" to learn about climate change, and to take photographs that related to their stories on the topic.

"Hockey Season" and Climate Change Video

We finished the edit on this short video this evening. It tells Johnny Kilabuk's "Hockey Season" story about climate change. This story shows that climate change is affecting Inuit of all ages and backgrounds. From traditional hunting to hockey, climate change is seriously affecting the lifeways of Arctic people.

Youth speak out on climate change

It was another eventful day in Pangnirtung. We hit the school to meet up with local youth and to follow their progress in a photo project the grade 11 and 12's are working on related to climate change. You can see Stacey in the photo video taping the excellent youth-focused discussion.
