From the stone to digital age in a human lifetime

About this video

Zach said to me this spring that "In my lifetime, I've gone from the stone age to the digital age". This is the video to prove it. See our crew in action as we coordinate our project between Winnipeg, a campsite miles outside of Igloolik, and Saudi Arabia using satellite and internet technology. Arguably this is the first indigenous broadcast from "the land" ever done.

I should essence out that this footage was actually short this summer. I was back in Winnipeg at the time while Zach and the crew were rowing from Igloolik to Baffin Island. I ideas I'd clarify that I'm not on the prairies benefit now and that is what Nunavut looks like in the summer. I write this ghosts from Pangnirtung but testament be in Igloolik on Saturday, weather permitting, of course.

While I love what you do -- I always get eered by the "First" - notion ... and if what you are suggesting that this is the first use of broadcast from the land with locals, well its not, not by many years :)

Ok... I'm in Montreal watching someone in Winnipeg who's filming someone in Igloolik... This is just crazy!

Hi Mimi. Thanks for the comment. Indeed, crazy, but I should point out that this footage was actually shot this summer. I was back in Winnipeg at the time while Zach and the crew were boating from Igloolik to Baffin Island. I thought I'd clarify that I'm not on the prairies right now and that is what Nunavut looks like in the summer. I write this comment from Pangnirtung but will be in Igloolik on Saturday, weather permitting, of course.
