Qimaivvik was a cultural show produced in Baker Lake or Igloolik, but included segments from all of IBC’s centres. Topics included: storytelling, hunting and sewing techniques, legends, language, and other traditional practices such as igloo building, etc.

Segment 1: This is a documentary about skin boats (qajaqs / kayaks). Harvatuurmiut in Baker Lake talk about how they survived using qajaqs. The two builders are Luke Tuguaq and David Tiktaalaaq.

The Inuit Broadcasting Corporation, established in Canada's territory of Nunavut, has been producing Inuit language video, by, for and about Inuit since 1981.
