Anastasio, un compañero cubano, y yo compartimos mesa en la comida con Anita y Cecilia, de la nación del Záparo (Amazonas Ecuatoriano).

Dentro de otras cosas nos platicaron cómo fue la experiencia de aprender el español y los costos que esto implicó. Lo que implica llegar a Quito y participar en encuentros como este (tomar avioneta si bien les va, y si no canoa o barco). Y de su interés en crear una publicación que les permita promover su artesanía y vender mas.

Compartí con ellas el proyecto de IsumaTV y cómo pueden subir esta publicación a IsumaTV sin mucho esfuerzo ni dinero. Me platicaron que ellas tienen experiencia con el internet y que a muchos de su comunidad, entre ellas a Cecilia, les gusta mucho usar el Facebook.

At the lunch break Anastasio, my Cuban collegue, and I shared the table with Anita and Cecilia from the Záparo nation (in the Equatorian Amazon).

Among other things they shared with us their experience in learning Spanish and all what they had to do in order to be able to study it. What it takes to get to Quito city and participate in events like this (taking a light aircraft when it's possible, a conoe or a boat in most cases).

They also shared their interest in starting a publication to promote their art productions (craftwork) and sell more of them. I shared with them the IsumaTV project and how they could do their own page and upload this publication without much effort nor money. They told me they have experience with the Internet and that some people of their community like very much using Facebook.
