ABSOLUTELY AGREE!!! i really cannot believe that they haven't learned enough to realize that it is harmful to ALL LIFE for these things to be happening, especially in our backyard. We as INUIT should seriously consider the truth that we do NOT live on the things that Qallunat do, we sustain ourselves (our bodies and our spirits) through our lands and animals.
If these things take hold of us, im concerned that our grandchildren will only learn about our ancestors in history books, and not have the opportunity to hunt and provide for themselves.
These mines threaten our strength as a people, and we have to realize that in order to survive as a people, we have to look at the wisdom of our elders, and employ OUR principles and values in ALL levels as INUIT.
