Siila Watt-Cloutier delivers her keynote at Health Canada's - First Nation and Inuit Health Branch - Pan-Arctic Results Workshop, held in Ottawa February 7-10, 2011.

This speech navigates the global and local level decision-making and impacts of climate change, weaving together human rights, ecological and governance issues, all within Siila's unique indigenous women's perspective.

Siila, a Nobel Prize Nominee, and her important message resonnated with the crowd, which was made up of Arctic commmunity members from across Canada.  These locals and their knowledge, as Siila points out, are really at the forefront of "ground truthing" our real world understanding of climate change and its effects.

Books like Generation Us (Weaver) and videos like Suzuki Diaries, are inspiration for the younger generation. Anyone else have positive inspiring examples of climate change actions that are real and already implemented?
