Watching something happen live in the Arctic, on the worldwide web, opens up so many possibilities for positive change. We can do this from anywhere; from Igloolik or Pangnirtuq, from Alice Springs or Timbuktu, from the floe edge or from the construction site of the new Baffinland iron mine port at Steensby Inlet, where Zach Kunuk grew up.
We are a small band of media artists with no power, influence or bank account. Still, if you go to the site at 7 pm tonight, or any night this week up to July 1st, you can watch a live event that until now only governments or media giants could produce.
