Igloolik's Experience Preview

IsumaTV traveled to Igloolik, Nunavut (Canada) to test out IsumaTV, DIAMA and the new Inuit Culture Education site. We installed two servers in both, the Elementary and High School, to allow teachers and students to access the website at high-speed and interact with it.

Ajainaa! (Almost!)

Ajainaa! features Igloolik Elders discussing their views of contemporary Inuit life. Topics include the role of Inuit and "Southern" forms of education, survival strategies (such as how to save a drowning victim), and the differences between camp and settlement life. Written, produced, and performed by Isuma's Uqallangniq Elders Group.

Going Places is a new documentary video based on research documenting factors contributing to student graduation from the high schools in Pangnirtung and Clyde River, Nunavut.
