What do you think of Igloolik so far?

It is a great place to be.

What differences are there between Qaanaaq and Igloolik?

Igloolik is very cold compared to Qaanaaq. The culture is so different, and Amittuq dialect is really different compared to our language “Avanersuaq” Inugguuit (Greenland Inuit.) The people you meet are friendly even though you meet them for the first time.

How did you get involved in this project?

While I was at work, two guys from Denmark came to me and asked me if I would like to act in an Inuit movie in Nunavut. I told them I would think about it. Two days later I told them I have decided to play the role Miteq. I was very excited!

Have you ever acted before?

No, I have never acted in a movie.

What do you do in Qaanaaq?

Besides work as a construction guy, I play soccer. Also, I took part in the National Handball Team in Greenland.

Any plans for after the film?

I will go back to Denmark and try out for Professional Handball.
