LOCATION: Edmonton, Canada2013, Mr. Morin just finished acting work on his recurring character Johnny on BLACKSTONE, a Canadian TV series shot in Edmonton, AB. He earlier volunteered for a short film titled family. He acted as cameraman, and acting coach during the audition process. He is still recuperating from a work accident December 7th, but is up and about, working modified work, and working on his music. 2012, Donald Morin, Barry J. Gillis, Kelly Austin Howard Bird, Actress Yunona Anders and many others from the The Killing Games production attended The Film's World Premiere at the Calgary International Film Festival September. He has moved his DAMMEDIA location North West of his former site in South Edmonton. Mr. Morin finished HD digital filming and digital music recording on the Island of Oahu, the city of Honolulu, and Wakiki Beach area. 2011, he completed a principal role in the film Dead City Punks, and finished projection, documentation work, and location scouting for Media Merchants based in Toronto, Los Angeles and Vancouver. He also performed for the WindSpirit Voice benefit for the creation of an Edmonton Aboriginal Cultural Centre in Edmonton Alberta Canada, (webstream of his performance is on youtube and this site.) He also performed at the Rubaboo Festival, June in Edmntn, AB, CDN. Donald has worked for Winnepeg's Scheme A Dream and finished editing work for professional dancer and Teacher Christine Elsey. Streams of Metropolis Dance. Donald also presented an online first Nations Issues lecture from an indigenous artist perspective to students, professors and guests of the University of Faser Valley. He also performed the role of Arvus for Andrea True Joy Fox from Gordon Fox's Novel Arvus In Excelsus. and completed the role of Riel, a Metis Preacher in a Kelly A.H. Bird presentation of an Motion Pictures production in association with New Blood Entertainment of a Barry J. Gillis feature film entitled "The Killing Games". 2010 he completed the role of Wifred in the stage reading of Where The Sun Don't Shine for The Aboriginal Arts Collective. Earlier work has involved the LEAD role of SAM WOLF in IOU Land for Caravan Farm Theatre, (Marty) in The Tipping Point for Theatre in the Raw and the Lead role of Eddy LaRoche from Robert Morin's Film Windigo. He completed the DVD of his 7 Fires 4 U Kitchi Manitou feature film project, and presenting his paper NDNs In The Age of Terror for The Society for Cinema and Media Studies Conference in Atlanta Georgia, USA. He sat on the media arts jury for Canada Council for the Arts, helped teach Native youth media programs and their professional development media for IMAG (Indigenous Media Arts Group) Vancouver. In 1992 Donald as well performed at F.I.N.D 92. Festival International Nouveau Dance in Montreal withe Karen Jamieson Dance Company.
