Lisa Qaumajaq Gibbons

Lisa was born in 1945 at Tiriarjualik, she grew up on the land, spending most of her days learning from her family and travelling back and forth between camps and the community of Arviat. Lisa has been a volunteer in the community for many years sharing her knowledge and time with the Woman’s group at the Anglican Church, various sewing programs, country food workshops, and counselling women in need. Lisa is currently working at Aqqiumavvik Society as an Ikajuuti Trauma Counsellor, using her knowledge and caring heart to reach those in need. Lisa is committed to sharing her knowledge to help those around her.
