An Introduction
Terres en Vues/Land InSights has been very busy on the Web lately, in order to spread awareness of our organization and the First Peoples’ Festival that we host every summer in Montréal. We are a non-profit organization and our mandate is to act as a bridge between cultures by promoting the artistic and cultural oeuvres of First Peoples. For ten days every June we organize, with the help of numerous contributors, the First Peoples’ Festival, an event that highlights cinema in particular, as well as literature, music, dance, the visual arts, and crafts. This year’s festival is taking place between June 11th and 21st, 2009. Please see our “About” section for a more detailed description of our organization.
The festival is an annual culmination of the work we do year-round to encourage communication and understanding between cultures by drawing attention to the works of Indigenous artists in numerous disciplines.
