March is Women's History Month and  Uvagut TV will be featuring special programming by and about Inuit women all month long.

Uvagut TV is Canada's first Inuktut television channel - broadcasting a rich 24/7 slate of programming from Inuit producers across Inuit Nunangat.   In addition to great movies, information, cultural programs, current affairs and priceless archives, we  broadcast 5 hours of kids programming daily from 6AM - 9AM EST every morning and in the afternoons from 2:30 - 4PM and 5PM - 6PM EST.

Uvagut TV's LIVE broadcasts of NIRB Baffinland Mary River Phase 2 Public Hearings will resume in April. Canada’s first Inuktut television channel is on Shaw Direct basic satellite 267 nationally; Arctic Co-ops cable 240 in Nunavut and NWT; FCNQ cable 308 in Nunavik; and online here (click on the player below).

  • Amitturmiut Originals

    Videos and unedited archival footage collected over forty years of independent Igloolik filmmaking. Original materials from Igloolik's IBC Amitturmiut shows in the 1980s and 90s used with permission and thanks to Inuit Broadcasting Corporation.
