EDO Merlin; NIRB denied the appication for increase for lacking environmental commitment, but the Minister with QIA approved it for Economic Impact, Whats going on? Co-op had more economic impact than Baffinland did in Igloolik.

Saying that the application was accepted because of the economic impact on the communities. States that there is no economic impact on the communities. Need employment and compensation for environment damage. There is some economic development for most of the businesses. Most of the employees at Baffinland are drivers, cooks and cleaners. If they were lacking the environment commitment, but were given green light because of economic impacts, but there is none, then big risk for the environment.
