Women of the Arnait Video Collective reenact a traditional women's activity: the use of the qulliq. The qulliq is the seal oil lamp and stove of the old days, the only source of light and warmth. The women tell the story in words and songs as they install the qulliq in their igloo.

Rose Ukkumaluk, an Igloolik elder, relates the tale of Attagutaaluk, a woman who survived a starvation and lived to become an honoured resident of Igloolik.

This video is a portrait of two women from Igloolik: Madeline Ivalu (Piujuq) and Susan Avingaq (Angutautuq). Piujuq translates as "pretty face" and Angutautuk as "strong young man". Ualinningmuitun Numiqtiin Drum Dance group music video filmed by Artless Collective

Elders, Students and Staff in Arviat celebrated 2014 Inuktitut Language Week with traditional drum dances, games and a feast at the Arviat Community Learning Centre.

First Isuma recreated fiction. A late-winter Inuit camp in the 1930's. Four families build a qaggiq, a large communal igloo, to celebrate the coming of spring with games, singing and drum dancing. A young man seeks a wife. The girl's father says no, but her mother says yes...
