Director, Community Relations, Marketing, and Communications
The Director, Community Relations, Marketing, and Communications is a strategic leader within NITV, responsible for strengthening and expanding the voice of our organization across Inuit Nunangat and beyond. Rooted in a deep understanding of northern communities and Inuit storytelling traditions, this role guides the development of communications and outreach strategies that reflect our mission to uplift Inuit voices and perspectives.
Working closely with regional teams and community partners, the Director leads a small but passionate communications and marketing unit that supports broadcast promotion, public engagement, social media, and events. This position ensures that our message—whether on-air, online, or in the community—is clear, culturally grounded, and resonant with both Inuit audiences and national partners. The Director plays a vital role in building relationships with funders, viewers, and collaborators, and ensures that all public-facing content reflects the spirit and values of NITV and the people we serve.
Executive Assistant
The Executive Assistant is a vital support role at NITV, helping ensure the Executive Director’s role runs smoothly and with integrity. Rooted in a deep respect for Inuit values and working relationships, this position handles scheduling, communications, and key logistics with care and discretion. As a trusted point of contact, the Executive Assistant keeps priorities on track, supports coordination across teams and partners, and ensures the Executive Director is well-prepared for the work ahead. This role is steady, responsive, and essential to advancing NITV’s mission and daily operations.
Executive Producer, Community News and Current Affairs
The Executive Producer, Community News and Current Affairs, is part of the Community News and Current Affairs team for NITV / Uvagut TV. This team encompasses several production staff and contractors, located throughout the country, who produce live and pre-recorded shows including news and current affairs as well as community original content such as documentary one-offs or series, low budget drama, artistic work, and animation. The Executive Producer, Community News and Current works closely with the regional production teams to provide high-level production support on concepts, technical implementation, packaging and presentation of both live and pre-recorded shows for broadcast.

Producer / Host, Community News and Current Affairs
The Producer/Host is part of a small community production team to produce and host local news and current affairs shows, and original content, that is ready for broadcast. This is an on-air camera personality required to host live weekly TV shows. The Producer/Host is responsible for actively researching and developing story ideas that are relevant, timely, and engaging for the target audience. This includes staying informed about current events, community issues, and cultural trends, as well as identifying compelling angles and voices for coverage. Researching stories also involves verifying facts, sourcing background information, and collaborating with producers and journalists to ensure accuracy and depth in reporting.
Production Technician, Community News and Current Affairs
The Production Technician is part of a small community production team to produce and host local news and current affairs shows, and original content, that is ready for broadcast. This is a technical role involving the professional operation of broadcast quality video, audio, lighting and streaming equipment. Production work included weekly live shows, as well as pre-recorded and edited community content for broadcast. The Production Technician is also part of a team working to prepare and develop story ideas that are relevant, timely, and engaging for the target audience. This includes staying informed about current events, community issues, and cultural trends, as well as identifying compelling angles and voices for coverage.
